In 1885 in Coventry, Starley made history
when he produced the Rover Safety Bicycle,
a chain driven bicycle with similar sized wheels.
Edward Langley Fardon 1839 - 1926
An accomplished whitesmith and engineer, he
produced one of the most significant evolutions to
the deign of the modern bicycle
Helen Martin 1907 - 1988
Set up a charitable trust to help
the University of Warwick, its total
contribution to date is
