John Egan 1952 - 2012
One of the 'All-Time Great Gaelic football stars
and a member of Kerry's Golden Era Team
of the 1970s and 80s. John played for Smeem Gaa club
and following retirement from Kerry
for Bishopstown in Cork where he worked.
He grew up in Tahilla. four miles east of Sneem
John won six 'All-Ireland medals and five 'All-Star awards,
among a host of others, in a twelve
year career with Kerry between 1972 and 1984.
