Our Special Man
Although we cannot touch you or hear you call our name, the
memories we have of you will never ever fade.
You put smiles upon our faces and warmth in our hearts, the love
that we share for you will never ever part.
Words cannot be written to explain the utter pain,
of you not being here with us today.
Grandad, like a dad to me you were, that bond will never fade,
and the love I have for you will never blow away.
I thought of you today, but that is nothing new,
I will think of you tomorrow and every day after too.
We thought of you yesterday and the days before that too,
we think of you in silence with a smile or two.
The memories we hold of you and photos in a frame,
Such a handsome man you were and always very vain.
Fishing trips to the lake was always your favourite place
with Joan and Bonbons by your side
as you sat and watched the days pass by.
Since you have been taken far far away,
rest in peace in harmony as you now lay,
without any pain or suffering in your soul,
until the day we meet again our hearts will not be whole.
Dad, Grandad, Bernie and Great Grandad,
rest in peace angel, we love you,
always and forever our special man.
